"19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
Eph 2:19-22 (
TNIV)
So I was reading Ephesians this morning. In chapter 2 of the letter Paul is talking about being Alive in Christ and being made One in Christ. Verse 22 got me thinking about being "One" with other believers. We are supposed to be this one dwelling for the spirit to live. How do you feel about our "one-
ness"? I know in some areas of the united states churches, pastors, worship leaders all know each other and work together with focus on "The Kingdom" . In other parts there are very distinct separations. Like our very own nature, a church can slip into a state of selfishness and self-absorption, preoccupied with its own congregation without further advancement outside the building. I don't mean to make it sound like those churches don't care, but maybe somewhere they fell off course. We all have to start somewhere. Maybe that somewhere is a phone call to a pastor or worship leader... We're all on the same team.
Is your church building together outside of its walls? Are you personally building outside
YOUR walls? Think about it
